Matt and I met at Pleasant Grove High School about six years ago when Matt was a junior and I was a sophomore. Both of us played in the high school band and had mutual friends, but neither of us really spent any time together. You know that kid who's in the group, but you know nothing about? The one who's just always been there because they're a friend of a friend? That's who we were to each other. Then, one fateful day, Matt needed a date for Prom and voila, a friendship was born. Over the next three years we became close friends through school, band, working at Domino's together, and just hanging out in our group of friends. In October of 2004, we went on a marching band trip to Vegas and, as a joke we got "married" while there. Although we didn't actually get married, the joke stuck for years. Little did we know that five years down the road we actually would be getting married!
After high school, Matt served a mission to Los Angeles, California and I began my college career. We wrote to each other over those two years and when Matt came home we found that we were still as close as ever. We went on a few dates and over the course of the summer our friendship grew into a dating relationship. The next year absolutely flew by and before we knew it we were engaged! 
October 10th is coming up faster than we could have imagined and we're both so excited! 16 days and counting!

Cute idea to keep a wedding blog! Although we won't be able to attend the brunch or ceremony, we're excited to see you guys at the reception. Good luck on the big day!
